I live in a small subdivision on the Northwest side of Fort Worth, Eagle Mountain to be exact. I have a bunch of kids waiting on the school bus in front of my house every morning. Lately they have started messing with my house and now my truck. Here is what they have done so far, not sure what to do about these punks. Talking to them doesn't seem to help as I have asked them to stop numerous times.

Knock on Door and run off...and wake up my 15 month old.
Ring Door Bell a bunch and run off...wakes up my 15 month old.
Throw garbage in back of my truck...it won't fit in the garage.
Stuff things in tail pipe of truck.
This morning smashed a bunch of food into the door handle of my truck.

I'm not sure what to do...when I'm out of town it scares the heck out of my wife, we don't know which kid is doing it since I don't have time for a stake out. I'm soo tired of this crap. Do I call the police?

Cameras or game cams are pretty cheap these days. Then go to the police. I don't know if it would do any good to go the the school or not. You could ask them to move the bus stop but that would just be putting the problem on somebody else.

Sounds like you need to run your sprinkler every morning in their favorite gathering spot. Make it muddy as hell.

I may try to talk to the parents but the kids come from several streets to get picked up and I don't want to be the guy stalking the kids when they get off the bus...and I don't know which ones are doing it. I may borrow my dads game cams, and put on the peak of the garage.

Pooh Ah that is hilarious...I would love nothing more than to rise up slowly from the back of the truck and hose those little punks with paintballs...It would be super fun except when I'm in tarrant county lock up.

I dunno, set up some type of mechanism which shoots rotten eggs or something else smelly at them. I'm sure they'd quit after that.

Don't stomp the flaming paper bag on your porch.

Set your sprinklers to run around that time and see if the problems stop or the pickup area is moved. Give it a week and if not resolved at that point you might have to shoot one of them as an example to the rest of the kids.

Hide in the bushes. Wait. When little turds start messing with anything, scare the ever living shat out of them. Use your imagination, within the confines of legal. But scare them horribly.

Pick out the biggest one and beat the crap out of him. You have to stand up to bullies.

Or, call the school district and have the bus stop moved.

Game cam is a great idea to catch the turds who trespass onto your property

Call the School District and tell them to move the bus stop or you will start legal proceedings.

If your truck is still there, I assume you haven't gone to work yet. And it's no secret what time the school bus arrives.

Leave the house a little early and walk back as they are gathering. Do this at various times and various directions. Leave the house at different times while they are there, walk by them and say a pleasant good morning. Come back after varying times away.

Just let the little turds know you're watching and could appear at any second.

If you're not there, go with the game cam and/or security lights. Set an alarm that goes off when your truck is barely touched.

It's criminal mischief. At night you could legally shoot them, though I wouldn't recommend it.

I'd do the game came and then after you have evidence call the police and present it to them, although depending on how the police handle it you might be better off stalking them home and talking to each of their parents.

Throw water balloons filled with dye at them. Do this a few times and their parents will begin to wonder what happened to their clothes and come to talk to you. Be sure you have photos of them messing with your truck and state you didn't know who their parents were.

I was going to suggest the scarecrow sprinkler but it has already been suggested.

If you use the motion-activated sprinkler, could you set a spray bottle in the water line and fill it with food coloring?

I Think I like the Scarecrow motion sprinkler...I may couple with the game cam to see how it works. Yeah at first I thought oh yeah haha...but now I'm ready to load up the rat shot/rock salt...plus these kids straight up are punks...no reasoning with them.

You know this but it's hard to think clearly when you're pissed off so just let me reinforce something....

If you spray them with water (or anything else) it's just gonna piss them off and encourage them to escalate their actions.

Just catch 'em on camera and tell them very sternly that you've got hard evidence and will be taking the appropriate action should it happen any more. Let their imagination take care of the rest.

waking up my children would make be chase them down and rough them up at least a little bit. That's just me.

I think they are the responsibility of the school going to and from.

At least it was when I went, if I remember correctly.

I'd call their school.

Just stand out there in the morning until the bus comes. Or back your truck into driveway and sit in it instead.

1) sit down and try to remember when it started, and what dates... The more detail the better.
2) game cam pics of the most recent incidents
3) off to the school, with the pics, and inform the campus cop, truancy officer, or local PD juvenile officer that you wish to file charges for criminal mischief.
