My 60 lb german shepherd ate a bunch of crayons this afternoon - could be as many as a dozen. (I just realized when I saw colors in her teeth - and remembered that the last time I saw the crayons on the floor was right after lunch) They were Crayola crayons with wrappers.

She seems fine, and is acting normal. Is this something to worry about? I have found mixed answers on the internet.

The box says non-toxic... but I assume they mean to human children.

I'm not a vet, but I am thinking your dog is going to be fine.

That's what I think too - I just want to make sure. Raisins are non-toxic to kids too, you know?

I really think she's fine - she's playing and running around, and just had a (not yet colorful) bowel movement - I just don't want to make any assumptions.

Mine ate a popsicle stick one time and it went all the way through.

FYI, Christmas ornaments and tinsel make interesting poop.

The other day I was out in the yard and saw my lab ate neon fish tank rocks, which is odd because we don't have a fish tank. They were in the deposit she made in her usual area. We are talking neon blue, green, pink, yellow.

Closer inspection revealed she managed to get a hold of some of the kiddo's crayons. Never knew until I saw the poop. Your dog should be fine.

We found out our toddler daughter was eating crayons when her diapers turned technicolor.

Crayola is well aware that kids eat them all the time, so they are very benign.

No poisonous. My puppy eats a couple a week. Legos too.
