Here ya go..

16 oz Grape Nut Flakes
4 oz water
8 table spoons Orthene 75 SP
1 1gal zip lok bag

put ingredients in bag and shake

one batch per colony

do not pour into ant mound holes

This has worked the best for myself and my customers

OH and it is legal

The only thing worse than a poor loser is a poor winner.

This is not legal, but does work very well.

We have leaf cutter ants and we are on the southern edge of the Hill Country.

They do like sandy soil better but they live in the limestone hills too.

Sometimes it will take a couple of hours to track them from your yard to their "real" home over a quarter mile away. In the summertime you can do it at night with a headlight and maybe a beer.
The key is "open" or well drained souls. If your whole life revolves around a fungal garden in an underground cavern, flooding or saturation is not desirable. I had them on a Knippa clay soil in Uvalde, but I don't think you'll find them on a Houston Black clay in Rosebud.

Imagine my surprise to see B183 "in response to Allen76" from the year 2012 !

Cut-ants as my dad called them can damage a tractor too if you drive over a nest in a sandy field and it caves in. We have had to fill a couple of them before....... a hole almost as big as a volkswagen beetle!

I saw Demon WP mentioned here and I can attest to it's effectiveness. Nuked a colony on my Baffin Bay cabin island overnight with this stuff.

Mentioned the cabin not as a humble brag, just to show that these little *******s can be anywhere.

I would predict that Fipronyl based products would work the best especially agricultural grade Fipronyl.

I've actually been having good luck with the ortho fire ant poison I just heavily powder the main hole and all around the area and it kills them like crazy I've gotten rid of almost all the leaf cutter nests on my 11 acres
