Dude those are the exact same boots, sans pointy toe! Those are style 9021, mine are 9020. Were you the original owner? Where did you get them? That's the first pair I've seen like mine!

Haha, LSRR I was pretty sure they were when I took that second look at your pics. No, I am not the original owner. No way my foot would have been a size 13 when these were built.

I'm somewhat of a boot collector. As a kid I never had enough money to buy a decent pair of boots but over the years that changed. These were bought off Ebay. I don't remember exactly what I paid, but it was under $100 and probably much less than that. The reason? The seller had no idea what they were. I looked at the crummy pictures, decided that they were special and took a chance. Needless to say, a win on my part.

There's a pair of Tony Lama anteaters in my stable that was acquired the very same way, and with a second pair of turtle in which the skins were in need of a repair. I purchased a bundle of boots just to get the anteater.

The only down side is that I wear Justin 13D's today and have several and love them. These are 13D yet they are small on my foot. I can't really wear them much but they do look so good.

Would you have been happy with that toe shape if yours were just like these?

Yeah I like the toe on yours, it's pretty close to mine now. Are they black or dark brown like mine? I know a buddy that would buy them from you. he wears a 12EE and they might fit if you don't wear them.

You guys kill me. LOL. I'll keep them and if I choose to sell they will be sold at auction. The pair in the condition that they are in is worth several hundred dollars at least. Same for the anteaters.

As for LSRR's question about color, they are jet black with a shine that rivals any pair of alligator you have seen. Yours look to be a dark green that fades into black color, possibly hand finished to get the effect.

Good deal to keep them. Mine are definitely a dark chocolate brown...
