Rob, that bullsnake is about to kick your butt. For being non-venomous, they've got some serious bluff going on.

Lol that is actually a gopher snake found in lajitas. Unfortunately that was not a bluff. OUCH

Probably about as often as you catch two BIG rattlers doin' it. Notice the dozer track they're laying across.

This. I'd like to nuke this thread just to be sure. If you slither across the ground on my land and you so much as look at me the wrong way, your heads coming off. I don't care if you are a damned grass snake, if you think you're all hard and want to curl up and pretend like you're gonna bite me...you goin' die.

Sweet thread. I'll post a couple later (though for Sean, I will not post the pasty legs in snake boots picture).

I was wondering how long it would take for the peanut gallery to show up.

Not my photos and you may have seen these posted before. Purportedly a 15 foot Eastern Diamondback rattlesnake weighing about 170 pounds. Caught south of Jacksonville FL.

I bet KB Homes is not pleased that their signage was clearly visible in the background because it would tend to depress the market for new houses in that neighborhood.

No offense, but seriously?! I'm baffled by the amount of fail present among the OB population at times.

i don't care what you think of me.

they slither and move without legs. they trespass and hide in my stuff in my yard. half of them are poisonous and i'm not smart enough to know the difference. satan posed as one. they they deceived Adam and Eve in Eden. God commanded me to bruise their head.

I was lazy at copy and paste from an email. A little searching turned up the St Augustine newspaper article on the snake and it was actually 7'3" in length.

This is a snake I came across in the woods on a little bluff just off the beach in eastern Cuba. I think it may be a racer of some sort. Also interesting, I think I have read that there are no poisonous snakes in Cuba. Also have a picture of a snake in Costa Rica that I'd like to identify - it has the proper colors for a coral snake, but the bands don't go around its belly, which makes me think maybe it's an imposter -- I'll try to find it.

This is one of my favorites. This guy was in my driveway, and upon watching him closely, he went up a fallen tree branch. Its from a series of pics I took after running back to get he camera. It doesn't take much to make these guys coil up and become angry. Im pretty sure that a week later, he or his family members ate a crapload of eggs from my chicken coop. I have one thats all nice and cropped but this is all I could find on short notice.
