I'm looking for a couple of recommendations on fishing guides out of Rockport or Aransas Pass for a summer fishing trip. Someone who can put me on the fish.

Have used Mark Williams, with success.

Jay Watkins is one of the best on the Texas coast. He wades and chunks lures only. Tommy Ramzinsky, Rhett Price, Dean Monroe, David Nesloney, Brad Smythe, Tim Redden, Todd Admas and Mark Williams, Patterson and Rose are all good. There are really to many to name, but Tommy works as hard as anyone.

I'll be on the water w/ the Rib and Kids this time tomorrow w/ Capt. Dan Poffenberger of Jubilee Guide Service of Rockport. Multiple conversations with him and he seems like a helluva good guy w/ a great rep for putting clients on fish. Came highly recommended from another Ag.

Tim Redden...he's good, a hoot to fish with...and has an Ibis!

Tommy R and Larry Robinson would be my next choices.

Try Hap Gamewell. Good guy to fish with, puts us on the fish. Doesn't mind if you cuss on his boat. Won't chew your ass if you miss a fish.

Don't have his number (Dad always books for us) but he is an easy find on Google.

Brett Phillips & Mike Patterson - these two guys consistently get their wives and their friends in the top places at Babes on the Bay. My wife fishes with Brett and his wife and they haven't finished lower than 4th in 5 years. I've also fished with Brett and he's very particular, but will get you right on good fish.

If you can get a bunch of girlie girls to place every year when they are just as concerned about what color this year's shirts are, you're good IMO. They also fish a lot of tourneys themselves and have good equipment and new boats to show for it.

Went out with Capt. Dan Poffenburger w/Jubilee last Friday morning and we all had a BLAST!! He was fantastic with my 8 year old twins and my Wife and we landed 24 specks (17 keepers) and 6 reds (all over 26"!! The icebox is loaded down for a while! The best part was we did more fishing & catching than driving around looking for them. Even drunk dialed him accidentally that night and he laughed at me...
Will definitely use him again!!
