I have a buddy getting married that would like to spend a weekend on the beach (or a lake... still in limbo) celebrating the end of his single life.

For a different wedding (some of the same guys involved, besides the bachelor), we went deep sea fishing but that trip sucked because the deck hands were drunk and they didn't get us on any fish. Plus we had to split up on a couple boats and that really sucked since neither captain found any fish. Bay fishing has been brought up as an option this time if we make the coast and not just a lake somewhere.

Do yall know of any good places to go where we could rent a house for the weekend and find some decent guides to take us out? There may be 10-15 guys, just guessing. How's the fishing in Sept - Oct?

I've seen some posts about a good guide on here before, but don't know how many he can get on his boat, or if he has multiple boats we can use.

Any leads and cost projections are appreciated!

Action Charters out of Freeport is who you need to take you out. Only thing with offshore is you probably need your weekend to correspond with calm seas. Unpredictable right now.

Bay Flats Lodge in Port O'Connor would definitely treat you guys right and put you on some fish. His lodge is a gorgeous place.

Cast and blast! Everyone gets to hunt together, then split up in 4's to fish. I would recommend S. Padre and look up White Wing Ranch.

This place will sleep the everyone and the guide is great. He will be able to line out extra boats if you have a lot of guys coming. Plus you can do the "blast and cast" option of both hunting and fishing.

For one of my buddy's we went to Lake Calcasieu in Louisiana last year in FEBRUARY. AWESOME TIME! Cold as shat on the water! All 9 guys (including guides) limited out on reds chunkin' plastics. The following day we rolled out to Lake Charles to gamble... buuuuuuut that is another story.. and again, had another memorable night!

What's the going rate for a cast and blast?

While I have aged, and can appreciate very much the guy weekend fishing bachelor party/shooting guns/hunting type bachelor party, however.....



Back in the day it was much easier booking the "salad sisters" to come by the house prior to a night of debauchary at a quality strip joint.

And a mid-day of hangover tales that included "just how close" someone was to nailing one of the "college students" down on their luck.
