So I've put more $$$ into the restoration/customization of this 17' no-name single-axle, bumper-pull camper than I paid for it. At completion, it will have everything, do everything I need with the available space used as efficiently as possible. Actually, a pretty damn fun project. The only problem is that some jackhole complete removed one of the twin jalousie windows from the back wall and filled the space, wel we'll just say "unacceptably." Does anybody know of a source for older-style, square-corner windows that may fit the bill?

I can't help you but my girlfriend would love to have a project like yours.

If you have some time, I'd love to see some pics.

I have a 1982 Avion that I treasure and maintain.
There are several Yahoo groups that support vintage travel trailers.
For Avion : Avion Camping and Restoration
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/avioncampingandrestoration/messages
For other vintage campers: Vintage Trailer Club
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/vintagetrailerclub/?yguid=221090886
Check the links for both groups; it may lead to other groups or sources. If you take the time and search the archives for "Jalousie" you will probably find a wealth of information and sources.
You might have to join each group to have search privileges, but it'll be worth it.

Good luck the older trailers are fun and much better than the new ones by far.

I may have or know where to find the part you're looking for. Jalousie windows have been around for decades. My specialty is trailers/mobile homes from the 1960's and older, so I didn't even know they still made them into the 80's. It would help if you have a photograph or two of the trailer.

My FIL is restoring a 1960 Serro Scotty Sportsman. It's polished aluminum and sleeps three, or four if your close. He's going to give it to me when he's finished. I can't wait. Good luck with your windows.

Thanks for the input so far, guys. Here are a couple of pics. The front and rear windows were exactly the same when it was new....

You might check old junk yards or just look around for a donor trailer. Trailer window dimensions are so varied that it makes it hard to find replacements.

You also might look at a custom glass/window shop. I've seen some nice windows installed in vintage trailers that still retain the old look. I've had a vinyl window made for a window in my '56 travel trailer.
