etc. etc. etc. until you get to 50 of em.

sad thing is, that list makes up probably like 90% of what is drank in US, and like 99.93% of what is drank in texas.

Wow. My "go to" beers for cheap mass consumption made #3 & #5. Filling deer feeders, cutting shooting lanes & fixing deer blinds in the summer time will never be fun again after learning this................

rankings from people who probably have never tired much beyong what they can find at the grocery store.

I can think of a few that are WAY worse than all of those..

ThunderHead IPA being a big example. Chances are, not many have tried it.

Wait, you can actually tell the difference between all those?

Ratebeer is FULL of beer geeks.

FYI, thunderhead IPA rates 2.93.

I've had Thunderhead. It is MILES better than anything on that list.

Thunderhead is OK, nothing special but definitely drinkable.

I'm surprised Moosehead isn't on the list. Another candidate would be this stuff my roommate bought one time called Samson. It had some sort of weird pulp in it that looked like...well, you get the idea.

According to that, King Cobra is better than Bud Light

BeerAdvocate is a better site than RateBeer.

This is crap.

No way any of those malt liquors are better than my Natural Light.

How about those "Strongest Beers..."

Brew Dog The End of History is #1 at 55%

There is a Sam Adams Utopia at 27%.

I drank two Sam Adams "SEASONAL" at a restaurant, not sure what the full name was, and was "feeling it". I don't know what % those were.

I like snobby beers when I'm chilling at the house, but when I'm outside working, mowing, etc I don't want to be carrying a bottle of Full Sail around. I go for the can o' Coors.

Goog to see that Mickey's is still considered quality.

The people on these sites never judge a beer according to its style. If you were to get the BJCP guidelines out and go through them with the Bud, Miller, Coors beers you would find they are to style. While you may not like to drink them they are really good at what they do.

That is why I prefer the term "beer geek" to "beer snob." Cheap beer has its place. I have 15 gallons of homebrew currently in the house, as well as three Schlitz in the beer fridge.

I recently tried sam Adams Boston ale for the first time. It was really really good.

"they are really good at what they do"

As someone mentioned working on deer blinds kind of stuff..... a Coors Light or Lone Star Light is just fine for me. I WANT it to taste more like water.

Other times something heavier with more taste is better....like with a steak dinner.

so Pearl Lite and LoneStar Lite are still winners

When we go pheasant hunting, we usually stop off at a bar in Vermillion, South Dakota. You know how some bars will have a "Beers around the world" you can try? This bar had a "Beers around the Trailer Park". I think it was 6 or 8 beers that were pretty bad. If you could finish them, you got a free t-shirt.

Why not go for the can o' fat tire or can o' dale's, or hell even can o' blue moon..

Not only do I like the craft brews, but I like to support the industry, and that means not buying BMC.

Meh. I like a little of everything. Like others said they all have their place. No list is going to make me feel bad about anything I drink

. . .unless they find out about my Tears of Orphans Pale Ale.

Except for Blue Moon being Coors.

But, I agree with you. Dale's Pale Ale is outstanding if you need a beer in a can.

I love good beer so much I can't understand the idea of not wanting to taste it.
Deats99

All I want to know is, did Ag's Bock make the list.

while true, the sandlot puts out tons of great craft brews. Just like blue moon is.

When I said BMC I meant budweiser, miller and coors specifically.. the beers, not the companies. I've bought the 12 variety pack of A-B craft beers. I'll support that. I won't buy a 12-pack of bud light though.

It's not smooth. It's not drinkable. But that's what's great about it.
