How long do you want to ignore this user?
Anyone with the Annual Public Hunting Permit ever tried a walk-in duck hunt here? I will be around Sherman over Thanksgiving and in looking at the map quide it looks like there are several "Designated Access Points" which to me means you don't have to have a boat...? Specifically btwn Collinsville and Tioga? I was contemplating sneeking away early Friday morning for a quick hunt. I called the TPW area office up there but not a soul in the office. TIA.

Haven't done it in years, but it will probably be pretty crowded. Best way is to get a canoe and paddle back into a creek mouth where people can't walk to.

I hunt there almost every year, good flights early - NOT overly crowded. Used to have tremendous peanut fields back to the NE (towards Pilot Point). You have to check the water level unless you have a coffin blind as you'll be in brush taking 40 yard shots.
