I was on of the "humidor" guys at spec's in Beaumont while I worked there. My selections and advice got good feedback, and I even pulled a couple of compliments from guys who knew a lot more than m. I never had someone pissed at my recommendation anyway. I've been wanting in on one of these, I always miss them. I'm in a rut and I'd like to see what some of you can throw at me.

I was considering one that I like, but most people don't, the Camacho triple maduro. I might pick it one up anyway, but if the person I'm passing to doesn't like it, I realize that's quite ...erhmm powerful smoke for a lot of folks.

Triple maduro isn't THAT strong... if you end up below me I'm sending you a LFD Chisel.

It's not that bad for me, but people have a conniption holy fit when I give them one. It's a good whiskey cigar to me, but that's just my taste.

I've never had that one. Fraid I only get to step outside my comfort zone when I make it to CS, the humidor here has good selections, but I've smoked almost everything in it(With the exception of the cheap crap. I wont smoke most things in the 2-3$ range, they just aren't worth my time.)

What do we think about doing a sort of secret santa mixup this time. You can all send me your address and I will mix them up and send each of you a person to ship your sampler to. The difference will be that you won't know the source of your sampler.

Would that leave you out? Or would you just know?

I would know but it would still be random. I would probably leave it up to the sender to either put their screen name on the package or leave it blank. We would still post what we received.

Not to mention that the beach scenery was very nice at times.

Oh good. Im glad ive been working all week instead of putting up with that crap.

I just felt like someone needed to go down there and place all of those previously mentioned burdens upon their shoulders so all of the good people could go to work and and not be bothered with all that crap like - beer, beach, rum, etc.

It was really hard to do - but I volunteered anyway. All that I can hope is that I was able to help out.


Seriously though - it was a nice trip - good place to go.

Add me to the list. My humidor is bursting at the seams with Tats, Anejos, and PAMs, and another box of Illusiones is on the way so I need to make some room. And unfortunately I am not serious.

I have real confidence that most on this pass will have good stuff to pass on.

I like the full bodied sticks, so how does that work with those passing to me, or those that I pass on to.

I might be really bored with lighter sticks given to me, but the lighter smoker might get light headed with those I'd pass on.

I want in, but how does that work?

Soooo any strong feelings either way? We can run it like we always have it that's what people want.

I'm game for whichever way you decide. I just want to make sure I get clear instructions so my recipient gets the goods on time! Man... that sounds like something a drug dealer would say, hahaha!

How would it work if everyone had the same 3 day window to send it out - everyone would send approximately the same time and receive about the same time.

With that many people wouldn't it take around 6-8 weeks to get through it doing it the way we did the last pass?

Don't really make much difference to me though -- just an idea.

The send all at once is kind of a cool idea really.

Ditto on the all at once. I think the first one in the last pass went two months plus between send and get

Alright, lets try this all at once thing. ORaggieFan may need some time since he has a baby coming like tomorrow... He can send his pack to me whenever he gets around to it.

I set up an email address that everyone can send their info to and I'll distribute it back out to everyone.

How about we take this week to shop and ship them out some time next week?
