Is this the trophy room for Ken Barr? I can't see the pics that were posted above, but I got the email last week. I hunted in Canada with the guy that built that room, Brian from Dakota Taxidermy. He is a very good taxidermist!
I am huge hunter. but I find it hard to believe that he personally shot all of those. i mean, thats rediculous. at what point do you say " this is getting out of hand"?
That's impressive. About the only thing I don't see is a Polar Bear. I assume after he gets that one he'll just quit hunting out of boredom. As a side note, dude must be loaded with time and money.
Some of those trophies are NOT easy to come by no matter how much $$ you have. Sheep hunts are very physically demanding as are some of the other species he has. Now I'm not saying this guy isn't a little crazy, but to claim that be just "bought" those trophies MAY be far from true. IF he hunted fair chase for those sheep etc. then he put in some hard work and effort for those trophies.
I'm with you on that. That being said, it doesn't look like this guy has time to shoot some little ducks. I would love to have a huge mount that has about 20 pintails cupping and ready to land. I think I need to work on getting a little bigger house before that happens though.
I think it is cool that he has had the opportunity to hunt all these animals and that he has harvested so many different types, but I do not see how he has been able to kill so many. Or why he has killed so many. Just to put in this show area? It is a little excessive to me.
I respect the guy for the different species and the work that had to be done to get them, but not for the total number.
