So I've been noticing a large number of mustang grape vines along I37 south of San Antonio and also some of the county roads in that area. I want to try my hand at some mustang grape wine when they get ripe. Would it be illegal to pick some along the roadside?

Thanks, I think I'll stick to the county roads instead of trying to pull off of I37. So my next question is, anyone have a good mustang grape wine recipe?

My hippie cousin talked me in to smoking some grapevine when we were preteens. Still remember the headache. They had Mustang grapes all over their back pasture.

I use one of Jack Keller's recipes. Google him with mustang grape wine and you will come up with three or four. I use the one that makes five gallons, and it is very good.
