We could possibly work something out... considering your efforts regarding the doss "decals". Especially if you'd return a few bottles of home brew.

Haven't seen this yet... where'd you find it?

It was at my local grocery store, this was the first time I've seen it. Galveston is usually very slow on getting new releases from various beer companies... I'm sure it's available in your area.

7+ years old lol.

I guess a good update is you can buy a 12-pack now. 8.5% beer for barely more than bud light

Interesting that, 7 years later, Real Ale is likely not even in the top 10 breweries in Texas.

in volume sure, in quality I would disagree.

Real Ale is probably one of the best in quality at the capacity they produce. Always liked their beers.

I really like Real Ale, but Backbone just isn't a fav.

their Full Moon Rye Pale Ale is probably one of the better beers brewed in Texas.

Just tried the Real Heavy this weekend...Damn that's good. Never had anything from them before, will definitely be trying more or their stuff. Devil's Backbone sounds like a good place to begin.

The Brewhouse Brown Ale is probably my favorite beer right now... Delicious if you like Newcastle type ales.

Feel free.

I probably could have worded my post better, but my point was mainly to point out how much brewing in Texas has evolved since 2010. Real Ale is good, but there are lots of worthy competitors now, where there weren't really in 2010.

Where can you get these in Texas? Specs and the like? I haven't been much of a microbrewery guy but want to give a few of these a try.

And before I go...is this a "we hate IPAs" or "IPAs are delicious" thread?

You're welcome. I'm still upset every time I drive by Jester King that they ruined such an awesome spot with such sour, undrinkable beer.

I liked Alamo when Real Ale made it. Now that they have their own Alamo brewery in San Antonio, well, I still like it.

Cheers to Robert Earl Keen honey pilsner, and Love Street by Karbach Brewing Co.
