I was asking myself this same question a few weeks back. I found the Casio SGW-100 series.

Thermometer, Digital compass, stopwatch, multi city timezones, good to 200m water depth, and can be put on a NATO nylon band.

The only thing it doesn't have is a barometer.

I have a Luminox 8410 which has a steel band and I absolutely love it. It is stout and waterproof and looks like it could take anything.

I just picked up an Omega Seamaster though for nicer occasions when you want to look more cleaned up, but it can still take a beating and it is good to 300 meters. Hell, it is what James Bond wears.

My Tissot T-touch is nice when I am out where I need to know elevation and direction, but it feels like it is a kinda cheaply made. I like it still but don't where it nearly as much as the rest of my watches.

How are you liking the Omega SMP? I'm going on 2 years with mine and love every second I'm wearing it. I'm in the same boat as you though when it comes to wearing it...on for special occasions. My Citizen Eco-Drive is my daily dressy watch.

My daily watch is a seamaster as well. Going on year 2 and looks just like it did the day i bought it.

Seamaster: retails for $2,150, selling for $1,650 (NIB) - they buy watches from jewelry dealers that go under. Everything is new and comes with a full warranty from the manufacturer. Tissot is another option (purchased/merged with Omega).
