I emailed a link to the thread about Nagels to them so that they could see the comments that were being made. The original thread had various posts that detailed poor service from Nagels over the years. Below is the reply I received.

Dear Charles:
I am in receipt of your email of October 2, 2009. I really regret the way you were treated in 1984 as well as the bad experiences of your fellow Aggies.
It upsets me to learn of poor treatments to any of our customers because of the inattention of my employees. I try very hard to select and train the Sales staff here and, for the most part, it works out satisfactorily; But, as you have pointed out, not always.
Although I am not an Aggie myself, I have the greatest respect for those that are. It seems that by being an Aggie, you form a lifetime relationship with your fellow Alumni.
I have been here for almost 58 years – starting in 1952 with my father – and, frankly, have enjoyed every minute of being around guns and those who love them. As far as the Dury’s are concerned, they are great people and run a fine family business.
Again, sorry for any inconvenience we have caused you and your friends. You are certainly more than welcome to call on me personally.
Sincerely,
Robert H. Nagel, Sr.
Owner
While it is a very gracious reply, I find it hard to believe that there haven't been similar complaints over the years that were brought to his attention. It may be that Mr. Nagel is a nice guy that loves guns but not such a great manager of people.
