Bought a new grill this weekend at Lowe's... I can buy a $30 empty tank then exchange it for a filled one for free since I bought a new grill... Is there anywhere were I can get a filled propane tank less than $30? Thanks.

You can exchange your empty tank for a full one for $20 bucks at many places or you can have your bottle re-filled for around $20 bucks at the few places that still have a propane re-fill tank.

I used to get mine filled/refilled at UHaul...Now I just take the empties to HEB and pay $17 to exchange for a full one.

If you don't already have a tank, you won't be able to buy a new one full of gas for $30 or less. Most cylinder exchanges range anywhere from 16 to 25 dollars, but you need to have a tank already. I fill 20# cylinders for $14...

Yeah. I need a new one. I do not have one at all... I figured $30 was as good as it gets for a new, full tank.

If you can buy one full for $30 that is a good deal. Most seem to be about $40.

You might as well get two tanks and keep one full in the garage. Nothing will piss you off more than getting the grill ready, and just about the time you're ready to put the meat on you discover you're out of gas.

$40-45 for a new, filled tank. Take the deal at Lowe's.

Yes take the deal at Lowes and see if they'll sell you 2 at that price!

If you can find a place close to you to fill your empty you "usually" come out ahead of the exchange places.

Take a look at the label on the exchange tanks and you'll find you are not getting a full tank. Most places around me are either 15 or 17 lbs for 17-20 bucks. I can get the full 20 lbs for 13 bucks right by my office.
