My dad was given a custom made felt Greeley Hat as a gift. It is a Beaver 100 and sized at about a 7 3/8 and too small for his head. (he wears 7 1/2) It's too big for me and I wear 7 1/8. It is in it's original box and in excellent condition. I'm about to list it on ebay with a reserve of 300.00 but will let it go to an Aggie for 225.00

Greeley hats has been making hand made custom hats for 100 years and has made hats for both President George W. Bush and his father, President George H.W. Bush.

If it were slightly larger, I'd sell your kidney for it too....

If it is about 7 3/8, is it slightly larger or smaller, long oval, or what exactly. Would love it if it is 73/8 xlo.

This can be resized I took mine to Catalina haters in Bryan and got them to completely refurbish my hat and they even made it larger. If you are only going up or down a little, it isn't even noticeable. It looks lie it needs a cleaning anyways, I think they do it for around $50

I suggest that you take it in and see if they can rework it for either you or your dad. I know Texas Hatters (now located in Lockhart) charges about $80 for reworking a hat. They charge $300 for a new one. If you buy one and it doesn't fit just right, they stand behind their work and will alter it for you on the spot.

You've got a really nice hat but not my size. Good luck in getting it sold or resized.

The people at Greeley Hat Works are great. I've visited with Trent at several shows over the years and he's a top notch guy who makes a quality hat.

His website shows they will be at the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers convention in Ft Worth in a few weeks. It may be worth seeing if they can resize it or help you out at the show.

Don't go to Catalina, I wore their hats for years, until I looked into other hats and their 10X is really a 4X by other vendors. Serratelli - is about as good as it gets. Call them or Burns Saddlery in Utah and find out who reworks their hats. You will be quite happy with the results. I took a 10x and looked at a 6X Serratelli and was embarrassed by my Catalina. They have really slipped since Tommy (don't know his last name) stopped working their.
