Ursus that must have been a really bad meal at Big Sandy for you to still be carrying a grudge. That Dairy Queen closed at least 12 years ago.

You have to wonder about a town that doesn't have a Dairy Queen or Sonic (and the Taco Bell closed after 6 months) yet has 5 liquor stores....

I ate there a few times in the late 1970s. I don't know if it is still in the same place.

One thing that struck me as odd was that there were two or three 22 caliber bulletholes in the windows! The only other place I ever noticed a business with bulletholes in the windows was at a motorcycle dealer on the Southwest Freeway in Houston.

Yeah, food places don't do well there. Annie's Attic used to be pretty decent, when it was there.
