Anyone interested in a Catalina Ram Hunt in West Texas? The Ranch is a little over 6 sections. There are numerous Rams that look to go over 40" tip to tip and countless between 36" and 30". Two in particular may push 50" tip to tip.

We would be interested in guiding hunters for both bow and gun hunts. The Ranch House is a 3/3. Meals and lodging would be included for a fee of $250.00 per day. Kill Fees would be $500 for over 30", $750 for over 35" and $1,000 for over 40".

PM or reply to this thread for futher information.

you mean a barbedoe/spanish goat cross?

You can buy one at any Texas livestock sales barn for $30-50 each.

I've never heard a Catalina called a ram before, to me it has always been a goat/billy. I googled "catalina ram" and talk about some hilarious pictures. I swear there were yankees proudly displaying their "catalina rams" which were in fact Angora billys complete with eartags. I guess you can charge more for a "Catalina Ram" than you can for a feral goat. Same with "Corsican Ram" even though it is a feral Barbado with a touch of Mouflon blood if you're lucky.

Not trying to imply that your operation is shooting barbado sheep and spanish goats. I have a buddy who killed a gorgeous Catalina goat with his bow and it made great mount. I've also raised and sold a few Corsican rams over the years. A Corsican with a good amount of mouflon is also a great mount. I like the Texas Dall, Painted desert and black Hawaiian too.

By the way, I have one Corsican ram left that I need to sell. Let me know if you would be interested.

Yes, A Catalina is a Spanish Goat. People are selling these hunts for over $1500 for little bitty goats. SO we figure, hell we have hunters come hunt deer, why not a goat? Something to do in the off season.

So you want to buy my Corsican ram? He's located close to Midland. I really need to get rid of him so I'll let him go for $100 to a good ag who wants to come get him. I can get him trapped no problem. He's not a trophy yet, but you can definitely get your money & time out of him now or let him walk for a year and make some good money.
