I am 70yo and created an X account last month. X seems to think I am 13yo, and shows a lock next to my user name. How do I fix this. I cannot edit the birthdate because X thinks I am underaged.

Believe the lock icon actually means you are limiting who can see your posts to only those who follow you.

Settings>Privacy and Safety>Audience and Tagging>Uncheck Protect Your Posts

If it's your age causing the forced protected posts go to profile, edit profile, tape birthdate. Change birth date. (Not sure if it will allow it if set below age 17).


If you can't change your birthdate I would set up a new account.
