The Nintendo 64 classic game The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is reborn on Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026!

There are rumors about a Legend of Zelda Nintendo Direct in September, and the rumored release date is 11/12/2026.

How do yall think the production volumes on that OOT Switch 2 LE will compare to the 3DS LEs? Debating buying 2 to hold onto one that's sealed.

I did the same with the majora's mask new 3DSXL and the sealed one is valued at over $1K currently. That said, I'm assuming the production volume is much more limited, and this will be the first Switch 2 LE around holiday no less

Never played this - intrigued. Wondering if my teenager will like it, he loved and mastered BotW, but he just could never get into older Zeldas (Wind Waker, Twilight Princess). Didn't try this one because knew it would be way too old in its original form.

I read that tweet to say Ocarina of Time was 40 years old and had to do a double-take... Still hard to believe we're closing in on 30 years.

I know time is undefeated, but damn it sucks getting old...

I've heard it hard for BOTW or TOTK starters to go back to linear dungeon style Zelda's.

Day 1 buy, obviously.

It is crazy that The Legend of Zelda is due to release in April and we haven't seen a trailer for it, yet.

Also, I really hope this is super successful so we can get a Majora's Mask remaster.

I will buy it, but still not sure how I feel about it

I was hoping for an expansion to the game or additional dungeons. Granted we don't know if there aren't anyyet, but it seems to be the same amount of game based on what they showed.

The new music orchestration is my favorite part about it.
Jump button is interesting.
Adult link model looks great. Ganondorf looks great.
Why give Sheik a ponytail? That all but takes away the mystery for players new to this game.

I don't like the voice acting.

This will make me buy a switch 2 finally. Looks phenomenal. Lots of QOL improvements. Never played the original but have seen lots of let's plays of it before.

I mean I agree, I wish it was $69.99, but it does look like they put a lot of work into remastering it, so it does look like a new game.

I am all for new ideas and new games, but I am also super excited to play one of my earliest gaming memories games on a modern console with modern graphics and get to do so with my son.

Best Buy started preorders on both the limited edition console and the physical game.

Snagged one of the consoles in time but now appears to be out of stock. I have a feeling Nintendo will be manufacturing a ton of these given its their Christmas push and we'll see stock continue to populate vs what we used to see with the 3DS limited console releases.

I had it in my cart at walmart and then lost it when I was trying to do a price match with Best Buy. Was it a mistake or is that a Walmart perk?

Consoles preorders are still live at Target, and Best Buy has been adding new stock intermittently
