Go with the more expensive one. It's only $100 more and is usually much more. It has a brighter screen which will help it look better in a bright room.

An extra 100 bucks for the U8 is well worth it imo. The U8 gets much brights, has local dimming, handles glare/reflections better, and has better built in speakers.

I was going to suggest the TCL QM7Kor QM8K, but those are usually a bit cheaper than the Hisense U7/U8. At those prices, i'd snag the U8.
