Antivirus on an iphone isn't really a thing right? Aren't they immune from the type of viruses that could infect PCs?

Viruses on iPhone aren't a thing. But Browser hijacks are fairly common. You can use Wipr, wblock, adguard or ublock as an extention on Safari to help with those.

For PC I just use windows defender. Haven't needed anything else in a while. Getting a browser like Brave or Firefox with uBlock does more to prevent issues. That and a bit of common sense and paying attention to what you're browsing.

This.

The average person just needs Windows defender. However, you should always stay on top of updates. Be wise and don't go to shady sites. Stay off of public wireless networks. Don't open emails from people you don't know. Backup your files somewhere. Always use MFA for important sites. Never select "always trust this PC". It may be a pain in the ass, but going through the MFA check every time you login is more secure.

If things start running slow or something, malwarebytes can be useful to do a scan and clean up some possible ****, but I don't keep it installed. I've had many computers over the last 20 years and have never had any issues.

How can you tell if you have a browser hijack on iphone?

I use Brave browser, so is that even possible to get hijacked?

It's one of those webpages you can't click out of. It may change your home page, add its own bookmarks, stuff like that.
