This guy created a mini Radar that will show the planes flying above your house. He started by making a one off and that expanded to kits that he is working to produce (I preordered one awhile back)

Calling it a radar is a little misleading. It pulls in ADS-B data over the Internet and displays aircraft in your vicinity on a screen that looks like an old school radar display.
