Hi, looking to replace our 9 year old 17inch laptop. We just use it for basic web browsing, maybe streaming a movie/sports. It seems like 17+ inch laptops are getting harder to find and a large screen is a must with eye sight problems. This one at Costco for $599 seems "good enough" but is the processor too weak or sufficient for basic use as described above?

Are you looking for another laptop or a desktop? The Costco linked item is a desktop and upon first glance, the specs look very underwhelming.

Would be willing for a desktop for larger screen, our laptop right now rarely if ever leaves the desk as it is. Looking to spend under $1k but not have it be obsolete in 3 years. Open to suggestions

Chromebook? For basic web browsing and Office 365 and video viewing, mine works great.
