I have been researching these as an option for my living room setup and see all kinds of mixed reviews. Anyone currently own one and like it? Tried it and hated it? TIA for your input.

Edit to add: If you don't have Sonos Arc or Beam but have a setup that you love what is it? I'm really trying to upgrade the audio in the living room for sports and movies. Budget is flexible.

I got a Beam a few months ago. I love it. My living room is very small though. If you have a decent size living room, get an Arc. I've since added a Sub Mini (adding a sub is a must imo) and 2 Era 100s for surround speakers. Overall I'm very happy with the setup.

There is a user bouncing around on this forum that sells Sonos stuff, maybe hit him up. Just search Sonos and you should be able to find some of his posts

I've got the current Arc Ultra with sub and Era 300s in my living room, replacing a traditional receiver and component 5.1 system and I love it. I believe there is a little less "fullness" coming from the fronts since I'm used to large center and front speakers, but overall it sounds great. Optimizing and tuning with your phone, full integration with Apple TV, etc is very well done.

Once support ended for the Logitech Harmony line, my remote that seamlessly connected all my components went buggy and I couldn't take it anymore. Dolby Atmos for movies and, surprisingly music, is very satisfying.

I know we're a ways off, but I always purchase Sonos components around Thanksgiving for the best deals.

I have a beam in the master bedroom with two Ones for surround and an Arc in the backyard for the poolside TV. I can't believe that anyone would hate either one of them. They work and sound great and the interface is very easy to use. Do they sound as good as the Atmos setup in my media room? Of course not, but they are solid soundbars.

I have Sonos in multiple rooms. The living room setup includes a Playbar, Sub, and Amp connected to non-Sonos in-wall speakers. The bedroom setup is a Ray with two Ones for surround sound. My office has a Move. The only Sonos product I've been unhappy with was a first generation Roam, which completely bricked after 2 years. (Apparently a common problem.) I don't have a Beam or Arc, but I wouldn't hesitate to buy one if I needed another soundbar.

I recently bought a beam and two era 100's and I'm very happy with it so far. Will probably add a sub soon.

I have an original playbar, sub, and two ones in our gameroom. We also have a couple original play 1's and roams around the house.

Just ordered an arc ultra on their recent sale from Sam's to replace the playbar upstairs, which will go outside.

App recently had some major issues in an update and still some kinks working out/glitches, but still more seamless than other options, IMO.

I'll also add that I have nothing but good things to say about Sonos's refurbished offerings, whether it's from the Sonos website or their eBay store. All the items come packaged as if they are brand new. You wouldn't now the difference other than box saying "refurbished"

It's really nice that I can have my beam hooked up via Ethernet and it automatically creates its own network for the Play ones to connect to seamlessly. I had hell connecting the play ones to a new network and then zero problems after I got my beam and hooked it up.

I have multiple, and have sold quite a few. They are great if you aren't picky about acoustics. If you are picky you'd likely be looking at a true atmos setup with a receiver and amp. If you're just using a simple Denon AVR and contractor grade speakers the ARC will sound great. Id definitely recommend at least getting the SUB and ERA 300s, if you can get the AMP and inciting speakers (SONOS incielings are sold in pairs) it would rival anything that you aren't custom tuning.

my entire house is sonos and my backyard, patio and garage all use a few sonos AMPs. Downstairs I'm still using a Playbar, sub and a pair of 100s for surround. Upstairs in my media room connected to my UST projector, I have an ultra, 300s set up as front R and L and some era 100s as surround and a sub. This set up with the 300s as L and R with the arc as a "center" sound pretty good. The arc by itself with the 300s as surround did not sound that good to me.

My honest advice is if it's a smaller/regular room, the arc will be good enough. My older Playbar sounds better to me than my arc, fyi. It it's a larger/media room, just know the arc is good, but not great. One of my issues with it is the dialogue is low, so I have to crank up the volume to get good dialogue, then the rest of the show is LOUD. Also, 300s as rears suck since SONOS disables the front firing drivers to try to get their ATMOS to sound better. It doesn't sound good in my opinion. The 100s sound much better in surround since they fire straight out.

I appreciate ALL of the feedback. I drove myself a little crazy looking at all the 5.1 options out there vs. doing an ARC+sub+erax2 setup and I think I will go with the latter. Maybe not all at once, but start with the arc and build from there.

I don't have an Arc (I am still rocking Playbars), but doesn't the Arc also support their "Speech Enhancement" setting? I know on the Playbar (+other attached speakers) I will activate that, especially at night if others are sleeping, in order to elevate the dialog. Same with the Night Sound.

Yeah the speech enhancement setting doesn't do much. Helps a little.

ZP90, S5, ZP120, a couple of Play:1's. I think the Play:1's would work on the new app but not the others.
