I'm almost always in friendly solo lobbies, but I guess I got punished because I had done some friendly fire exercises as the elevator was leaving for the daily challenges.

I brought my brand new epic shotgun into a match and proceeded to get killed by a Raider. It never even occurred to me that the guy was hostile. I saw him after fighting a Hornet and was like "Howdy Friend!". *Blam* Yeah... there goes my new toy!!!

I was sorta pissed, but it's also part of the "you never know" charm of the game.

Interesting - I was wondering with a buddy in discord the other night, how many times are you able to shoot another raider (self defense, accidental fighting an Arc, etc) in order for them to put you in a more PVP style lobby. Sounds like that theory might be once.

I'm typically using my solo lobbies to farm trials and maxing out goop. Keep doing trials, because I just got an epic (level 3 combat augment) from a 3 star arc probe trial the other night Dam Electro storm.

Technically it was twice... I didn't get enough damage 1st time (for the daily challenge) so I had to do it again.

And I doubt I was put in a full on PVP server, but the aggression obviously ticked up a notch.

Yeah it can happen quick. I got booted into a series of PVP lobbies after defending a downed player in solos from someone camping the extraction point. Once I realized what happened I just ran with free loadouts until I was in safer company.

Having a lot of fun with this game but the loot grind is wearing on me. Feels like the only way to get good stuff is to pvp which isn't really my groups style.

We've managed to upgrade some benches but stuck on some stuff that has taken forever even with using the internet for tips on locations.

Anyone else feel this way?

Still having fun but when you need six of an item and drop in four or five times and don't even find one it can be a little disheartening.

You need one teammate with the capability to make wolfpacks. Once you can make unlimited Wolfpacks, everything needed to upgrade workbenches is super easy to obtain.

Question about the Trials... I'm guessing that you have to survive the round to get credit for stuff you did?

I blew up a rocketeer and a bastion in a run, but then I fell to my death on what felt like a glitched landing spot on a vertical rope as I was headed for extract. I got ZERO credit for doing damage to the Arcs.

As if losing good gear wasn't a big enough slap to the face!

Yes you have to extract for your trial to count. I got SUPER pissed one raid when I had THREE of this weeks trials done and 3* and got ratted on exfil

Hey Nguyen, what's the best way to get the damage trials on the major Arcs?

I'm assuming do something like a Night Raid for the double XP and bring a bunch of Wolfpacks and maybe some Deadline mines? I have blueprints for both so I can fairly easily craft a bunch.

Thanks for this advice. One of our boys just got the ability to craft wolfpacks so we are all antsy to donate supplies and come in geared up.

So… maybe this is common knowledge, but apparently there is a PRECISE formula to getting pure PvE raids and no PvP. I know we know that it tends to shuffle people based on their overall aggression to other players, but I saw a random video this weekend that says you need to go exactly 8 rounds of arc raiders with no killing or no shooting/damaging other players, and then you will be silo'd into pure PvE rounds with nothing but friendly players.

I tried it (started rounds, immediately surrendered, then loaded up and did it again 8 times), and for the next 20 rounds I was in pure PvE (even Stella montis & night raids). Literally all players in those rounds played against Arc and never shot once.

Looting, killing arc, quests - no one interfered. It was heavenly. Then I got bored and killed five players in my last match before logging off last night.

I'm going to try and repeat the formula, but figured I would share with my fellow raiders.

Yep... I've been playing solo 95% of the time since I started and I'm almost always in the friendliest lobbies. People going out of there way to be helpful.

Go peaceful... turn on the mic... and you'll have an entire lobby full of friendlies every round to raid and converse with. It's awesome and makes the game fresh every run.

But.... it also contributes to the unique hook of this game... because even in the friendly lobbies, every once in a while, an agent of chaos will show up. So you can never quite trust everyone!

One fun game that I've discovered (especially in the friendly lobbies)... get into an elevator/train with one or a few people. As soon as someone approaches the keypad toss a glow stick and yell "Grenade!"

Works with pretty much any color, people will run & dive... most will laugh after.

Any of the major map conditions give double XP for trials. I almost always do night raids or EM Storms for the trials.

As for the bigger arc, at the very minimum you need an Anvil IV. Relatively cheap to buy/build and packs a punch against arc. If you can afford it the hullcracker is a good go to ($30k space dollars from a vendor), but the ammo can be a bit expensive. Personally I LOVE the Equalizer gun I use for matriarchs and queens. It rips off the arc armor like nothing

Yeah Anvil IV's are one of my staples and I can buy/craft hullcrackers no problem as well. I'll give it a go tonight if I have time.

I'm almost exclusively wolfpacks against rocketeer's. Two is easy, but just one followed by 2/3 seeker grenades does the trick also. They are fun to mess with using guns, but they can mess you up so fast. I think for the damage trial I'll take out any rocketeer fast and I'll use more gun/explosive combos on bastions & leapers.

For the rocketeers we knocked that out during s matriarch fight as she spawns in bastions, rocketeers, and bombardiers. The matriarch map condition also counts towards double xp I believe

damn... i've become the agent of chaos, lol --- it makes this game fun, you never know what you'll run into

Had a huge stroke of luck last night, I was doing some of the quests on Buried City and as I finished up the one with the seed vault in Research, I went out toward the courtyard/square and ran into a Bastion that had been killed and was completely full of loot. My entire backpack was pink materials and I've never been more nervous running for an elevator in my life

I've got over 60 hours in the game and I still feel like a noob in a lot of ways. I think it has a lot to do with the fact that I run mostly run solo and haven't watched a ton of videos on the game showing me how/what to do. I've just enjoyed figuring it out on my own and randomly talking and doing tasks with other random solos.

This is the first time I'm actually completing weekly Trials. I've done them all except the Bastion damage which shouldn't be too bad.

And a hint for the "gathering" trial... on Buried City the Galleria building is usually filled with great mullen in the planters on 2 levels.

I traded 110 springs to a guy for the survivor BP. If I find another I'll definitely trade for an equalizer BP. I have an equalizer, but can't make them.

Edit: I trade via metaforge. Have had nothing but good interactions.

That's good. Just gotta wrap up searching high and low for surveyors then to get out of the 1st section

Night raids on Blue gate or Spaceport, get somewhere up high and just scan for their little blue light they shoot up in the sky.

I've got a few blueprints I'm holding onto in case someone needs them. Trade preferred but I can also just be nice if you don't have any blueprints to offer:

Silencer II
Paded Stock (epic rarity)
Blaze Nade

I already have the Augment you need Nguyen so I'll keep an eye out for another.
