What is the best way for extra storage on PS5? I see there is a 5TB seagate external storage for $130 or so. It says you can store PS5 games and move them back and forth to your PS5. You cannot play the PS5 games directly from the seagate storage. Does anyone have this for their PS5? If so, how long does it take to move a game back and forth when you want to play it? Or what is best way to expand storage?

Did you already install a second SSD in your PS5?

Outside of the internal storage and the secondary storage, why do you need so many games stored at once? Is your internet metered or too slow to install a game in ~30 minutes?

I have too many games installed and keep having to delete and reinstall to play a game. only allows 15 games or so and it's full. Call of duty takes up most of the room. Just seeing if there is a better option then having to delete games

I haven't done it with my PS5, but I've moved games back and forth from an external drive on my Series X. I'd say most games that are over 50 GB take around 5-10 minutes or so to transfer. Definitely faster than re-downloading games, but how much time you save depends on your internet speed.

Have you considered buying more internal storage? My understanding is that it's a pretty easy process and plenty of videos to show you how.

I have a PS5 Pro, so have a little more storage in the base system, and I have the largest additional SSD I could fit in there. I have not felt I needed to do something like you're asking. If i run out of space, I just delete a game. It only takes about 30 min to redownload it and deleting the game doesn't delete the save files.

WD Black 2TB in the internal storage port. Holds my large PS5 games and and finished games. Samsung T7 2TB external dedicated to PS4 games.

Have had no issue running games on either of the extra storage options.

I just added this 2 days ago. Took less than 5 mins. Moved all ps5 games to this. Using the original ssd for ps4 games.
