New Outlook won't sync

I've been using new Outlook (through Microsoft 365 Personal) for about a year. It's downloaded on my desktop.

All of a sudden, it just stopped syncing.

I've tried rebooting; deleting my email and reconnecting it; etc., etc. Nothing.

When I switch back to old Outlook, it works fine. No problems.

Anyone got any ideas?

I stopped using the new Outlook because it has fewer features than the old Outlook. Thus, I am of no help to you.

I just bought a new laptop with Windows 11. When I installed Office on it, it automatically installed the new Outlook. Is there a way to downgrade to the old Outlook, which I also prefer?

You should have a toggle in the upper right of Outlook that lets you switch back and forth unless that only exists for legacy users of old Outlook.

Just doing a relatively quick Google search on this topic, it doesn't seem like there is one definitive cause and fix. Seems to be more along the lines of "it might be this, if so then do that" and repeat for multiple possible causes and fixes.

I personally like the new outlook. We had it, then IT took it away for some reason, so I'm annoyed.

The biggest complaint I have (or had) about it is not being able to just drag attachments from an email to a folder to save them.

Just to follow up on this ...

After five days of searching, chatting, googling, trying different remedies, etc., my New Outlook suddenly started working again. Have no idea why or how.
