Alpha is out for the next Battlefield. They want community testing to nail the gameplay. Hopefully they get it right this time.

They're definitely digging into the BF3 toolbox for this one seems like. Visually those few glances look like an updated BF3 and then they're using the BF3 main theme at the end of the vid.

I'll be curious when it comes out if they manage to recapture what they had in BF3 but definitely not preordering.

Totally agree. Looks every bit like BF3. Gave me a flashback.

Man, that whole thing sounds great and all but it seems like I've seen similar videos for the past several games as well and they've just gone downhill. The last one I kinda liked was BF1. The last several have just sucked IMO. I'll wait and see. I used to love playing this series.

Step 1: Keep anything and everything DEI away from this game. If the gaming community sees wokeness the game is already dead.

Step 2: Copy everything good from Battlefield Bad Company, 3 & 4.

That's pretty much it. Easy right!

Definitely waiting to see initial reactions. Lots of people were stoked for 2142 after announcement. DICE from the era you noted is not the DICE we have today.
