I've had Direct TV satellite for the last 15+ years. I also have Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Disney +, and Apple TV. I have hung on to Direct TV because we watch live TV more often than anything else.

I just came to the realization that I can watch live TV via streaming services and am comparing Youtube TV, Hulu Live TV and Fubo. Are there others I should look at? We watch nearly every Astros game, so I'm leaning towards Fubo because it has Space City Network and the others don't. However, I don't hear much about Fubo, so not sure how popular or good it is.

Other than channel lineups, is there much difference between streaming services, such as image quality, availability, access, etc?

I have 300 mpbs home internet and have no issues with lagging or buffering. We primarily use it for internet and streaming services. Very little to no gaming. Should I consider increasing that if I plan to stream Live TV?

TIA

If the Astros are a must I believe your only options are Fubo or Direct TV Stream. Direct TV Stream requires the choice or higher package which start at $115 per month. Fubo is a quality service and I'd choose that since it's the cheaper option.

Fubo is great.

Remember, these streaming services don't require a contract and are only a few clicks to cancel. This isn't a long term choice, so try them all out and choose your favorite.

Hulu Live is trash. YTTV is superior in every way.

I can't speak to Fubo.

DirecTV Stream with the steaming box addon to go with it. Best set up, just like regular sat or cable but cheaper.

I'm an old guy and long time xfinity user. Switched to YouTube TV this year and not looking back.

I switched from Xfinity to YouTubeTV as well. But I joined on my brother's account so we split the costs. You can have family members with their own account on the primary account holder. If that makes sense. But you're limited to the number of screens playing at one time, either 3 or 5. Can't remember.

Youtube tv is better than hulu live but if you already have hulu and Disney plus it's hard to not just bundle those with live. Fubo is OK plus it gets Fan Duel.

I've had Fubo and YouTube.

I like YT interface better but the main difference is that YT has TNT and TBS where Fubo does not. So come March Madness YT is better.

But as you mentioned Fubo has Space City or FanDuel (or whatever they call it now) so you can watch the Stros and Rockets while you cannot with YT.

I believe Fubo has unlimited cloud DVR and I know YT does.

I'm going to look into what Fatzilla posted about the DirecTV streaming box setup because I haven't done that before.

And 300mbps is more than enough for streaming. You do not need to upgrade Internet speeds.

There's really no difference between xfinity and YouTube TV other than price. For me it's just a different start screen.
