Anybody playing this? Seeing tons of videos online about it. Looks like overwatch with Marvel characters. Some of the character combos are absolutely broken right now, leads to a bunch of different hilarious videos.

Been thinking about trying this, after not really playing FPS for over a decade, I've been sort of hooked on Apex Legends over the last couple of years. Knowing that every game runs its course, I was debating whether to try MR.

Definitely worth a try! If you suck at shooters, try a tank or healer first. Captain America is a lot of fun.

Is this a mod of overwatch? It literally looks like the exact same maps.

Different game, but it apparently is the final nail in the coffin for OW2. I'm seeing posts about lobbies with only 19 people left in them on Steam. I agree though that there art and gameplay are very similar. Reports are that the game is much more community friendly than OW though, with a bunch of very different skins that can be unlocked without millions of microtransactions.

I think that remains to be seen. I've put about 15 hours in so far and I can't quite unlock a new skin. I got one from the free battlepass but that's about it.

Still, fun game and I'm sure there will be skins that are enticing enough to spend a little money on (like yellow and blue Wolverine).

Played it tonight, a lot of fun. Used Psylocke and Starlord mostly, yet to find a tank I have a lot of fun playing with. Do want to check out Squirrel Girl, as I used to play Junkrat a lot on OW, and that is recommended as a similar play style.

This is the most fun I've had with a game in a LONG time.

The developers designed it with so many different play styles, that everyone can be successful. I'm old, slow, and have no aim - and yet I've found multiple ways that I be a difference-maker in casual play and at least keep up in (most) competitive games.

I highly recommend playing it.

I have played a few hours and can say that I have never played a game that feels more like another game than Rivals. The gameplay, sound effects, music, kits, game modes, everything is Overwatch. It's pretty fun and with Blizzard killing Overwatch and TF2 being updateless for 8ish years, it's probably your best bet for getting into a class based shooter that isn't Valorant.

Peni Parker is OP. Especially in defensive games.

And with how few people want to play tanks in the game, it almost always leads to a win picking her, as long as you have a healer who even slightly know what they are doing.

I completely agree and I love her play style, so its fun playing her.

This game needs role queue badly

This game is awesome. I have the most fun with Moon Knight but do enjoy Rocket as well. Trying to get the hang with Spiderman too. Difficult but when you have a good game it is the most fun.

IDK, I think the lack of one keeps match times down and forces a certain percentage of people to experiment with different characters. Role Queue forces every DPS player to wait on the tanks and healers to get done with their games.

It makes struggling through the lower ranks where a lot of people couldn't care less about team comp and just instalock DPS a miserable experience. I'd rather wait another 5 minutes to know I'm not about to waste time taking an auto L with a completely dysfunctional team.

It seems duelists focus on easy elims even though they'd help the team more if they defended strategists and supported their own vanguards' fights (whether its Wolverine/Iron Fist or another vanguard).

So I've settled on Mantis/Jeff and Cap/Venom as my heroes I know best. Just started competitive play and having flexibility with paramount. Too many people wanna play duelist (cuz MuH DpS aNd KiLlS). One match I was the ONLY PERSON NOT A DPS so I switched to a duelist and we naturally got roflstomped.
