Thinking of cutting the cord…does YouTubetv have random ads that pop up or is it more like traditional commercials?

I would hate to be watching sports and a pop up ad comes on right at a 4th and goal or long pass

I already googled and found nothing conclusive and I didn't want to sift through the other cord cutting threads for this specific question.

Thanks for any help

No, there are no "random" or extra ads that pop up when watching live TV.

I believe there are normal designated ad spaces in shows that the "cable" company can use. I say that because sometimes I'll see an "Enjoy the Zen" videos to fill space for ad space they didn't sell.

I'm an old social security recipient with YouTube TV. It and cable each have advantages but for the price YTTV is the winner.

We subscribed to YTTV recently but will probably go back to Hulu after this football season. Use an Amazon Firestick and we've been unable to use the YT account to log into the ESPN app. I've followed pretty much every suggestion on the internet. I can log into ESPN in the built in browser and watch whatever I want there but the app refuses to use my YT account.

The ESPN app sucks. I will probably switch back to Sling for baseball season so I don't have to use that PoS

I had the same issue earlier this year at the beginning of baseball season. After spending way too much time troubleshooting it, I set up a new gmail account, added it to my "family" and gave it access to my YouTubeTV account, then I used that account to log into the ESPN app and it worked. It is dumb, makes no sense and was very frustrating but it did the trick.

Hmmm. Ok I'll give that a shot. Thanks.

I have YTTV and randomly have to "re-authorize" my account info in the espn app. Agree with the above that the espn app sucks. There's no reason an app should dump your login info over and over. All I ever do is logout and log back in .
