Howdy, what's a good laptop for my freshman daughter in high school? She doesn't game, but will work on school work and I'm sure stream some stuff. Any Black Friday specials? Any help would be appreciated!

For that price point you are probably looking at a Chromebook because most of the Windows laptops are certified e-waste.

If it were me I'd look at used/refurbished Macbook Air M1, I just picked one up for $400.

If they aren't a fan of Macs then I would look at a used Lenovo or something on eBay. You can get a T490 with 16gb of ram and a decent sized SSD for ~$200, you can buy two for your budget for when they eventually break it.

Yeah, don't listen to this. Plenty of good laptops out there for $500 or less.
