PC main hard drive question

If I have two PCs running the same motherboard, can I take the main SDD from one, put in the other, and have the other boot and run? Thanks.

If you leave the current main drive with the operating system in the first computer and put the drive with an OS in the same computer, it usually boots from the first drive. Remove the main drive with OS and put the new drive in with an OS and it will usually boot form the second drive.
