Can no longer send sms from phone

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix? I have been on the phone with att 3 times for hours.

The only thing I can think of is that I sent 3000 texts over last weekend for the Trump campaign.
The last sms that I have sent that went through was Sunday night. I have to think that this increase in texts has something to do with it but att says no.

Help!

No clue on specifics, but if you sent 3000 spam texts over a weekend then a lot of people probably marked your number as spam. So could be at&t sms or could be google rms or apple imessages depending on your phone. I'm not sure who has the capability to block where these days if you get flagged.

Moving forward, in this day and age with robo callers royally pissing off people by high-jacking people's numbers and using them for spam calls and texts, I wouldn't voluntarily use your own number to do that as it puts a big target on your phone.

I just emailed the messaging app that I use. Will see what they say.
I did switch to Google messages (att recommendation) but people aren't receiving sms texts from it either.

This thread makes me a little happy. Maybe taking the time to report every one of those dumb ass texts is doing something.

OK, that was the first time I'd ever done anything for a political campaign. I'm glad it makes you feel better.

I don't know if it's even related. I got a reply from the app and they said they wouldn't have done it.

Any other ideas?

I had trouble sending SMS texts on Monday. Then started working today. Only an issue when sending to the android folks

I still can't send any. The only thing I can do is rcs in Google messenger.

Is your phone unlocked? Aren't there pay to use SIM cards you could swap out and see if you can send them again? Might pin point where it's broken.

Another thought is how the messages are being sent. When I switched to Mint and did an eSim it had messages coming from an email instead of my cell number. Under the message settings I had to update it. No clue if it will help but maybe!
