educate me on OLED TV prices

Why are the prices so sticky? LG seems to have a floor at $1k regardless of size or model. I see now where Samsung also offers true OLED tech, so it can't be because of IP, or is it?

It might be because folks are still willing to pay $500-$1,000 for mid-size QLEDs. OLEDs are still premium tech.

It doesn't help that Sony gets their OLED panels from LG and Samsung has a mix of LG and home grown OLED panels.

The 34" 4k monitors are right in line with this. I was hoping they'd dip lower than the 42" I use as a monitor.

I went ahead and pulled the trigger. Got a slightly reduced price on Amazon on LG OLED with 7% back on my CC for delayed shipping during these Prime Days.

I watch football and movies. Hopefully the OLED is worth the money.

eta: also increased to a 65 inch. Currently have a 55 inch.
