I'm in HVAC, I need to see about getting help moving and or selecting the best option to move my website. I build the site a few years ago and taught myself wordpress at the time enough to build it. I have since forgotten all of the how to and I am too busy to brush up on the skills.

Looking for someone to point me in the best direction given my situation and word press export out and word press import to another host. From what I can tell its a few hours and done with updating some plugins etc.

General Situation:
I own the domain.
Currently hosted on bluehost.
My wife hosts another site on godaddy. (About all I know)
I use rackspace for my email accounts.

Where are your goals? That way we can give a better answer.
IE merge accounts with wife hosting, new hosting, new email, etc…

Wanting to know best ides etc for where to host etc.

Transfer site to new host and update plugins etc and maybe freshen up site during.

Which host are you moving to? Some of them offer free migration if you provide them your login and ftp details.

If not a move is not that hard. There are a lot of videos on it, just scan a couple to see what you feel is the easiest for you. If you need help feel free to reach out, email is in profile.

Yeah a few places will migrate your website for free.

I'm curious why you don't like Bluehost. I had always heard good things about them. I have used Hostgator before and been happy but I have consolidated everything to Dreamhost now.

Moving sites is not hard. If your new host won't do it you can hire someone on Fivrr for $10 to handle it.

A friend of mine had the bluehost host site right after we graduated college 10-15+ years ago. He has hosted many of the guys he knew over the years and just doesn't have a need for it anymore and said could find less expensive options for my single site.

I see. Well if your wife is happy with Hostgator you could move your site there.
