So we just switched from Comcast cable internet to Frontier fiber using the new Eero Pro6e

The tech made it seem as if our devices would simply just reconnect to the new router if we gave it the same name and password, however, none of our devices connect. If we manually go into each device and input the same name and password then it works.

What's the issue?

Different security version for the WiFi? SSID and password could be the same, but you have to go through one by one and reconnect because the networks are actually different. I had this happen when I upgraded mine to unifi and everything went to a different version of WPA.

Ran into this exact same issue after going from Comcast to ATT. I had to 'Forget' the network on devices and reconnect.

This resolved all my connectivity problems.

That's great for iPhones and stuff. But for my Alexa's, ring devices, thermostats, smart home features it's a pain

Yeah, those may need to be reset and reconfigured if simple reboots aren't working.

I upgraded to a new orbi and used the same ssid/pw.

Everything needed to be reconnected.

yes, forget the old network and then reconnect to the network with each device. That will solve your problem

The security profile is probably different on the WiFi network. Your only option is to try and change the security profile to match your old one, or forget and reconnect network on each client.

I ended up just reconnecting everything…
