Howdy,

I've been a DirecTV Satellite customer for decades but I think it's time to finally cut the cord. We don't watch movies and all I care about are local channels and Sports, but I want the Golf Channel. If I am reading this correctly, YouTubeTV has Golf Channel plus SEC Network and all the usual stuff in their base package. Can anyone confirm and or give reviews of YouTubeTV - want to be sure before I cancel my DirecTV.

TIA, Cross posted to the Golf board.

With a base plan offering over 100 channels and the ability to add extra networks, YouTubeTV is killing the cord-cutting game. Channels on YouTube TV provide extensive coverage of sports, news, and entertainment.
When it comes to streaming sports, this is where YouTube TV truly knocks it out of the park. Subscribers get access to ABC, CBS, Fox, ESPN, ESPN2 FS1, Fox Sports 2, CBS Sports Network, the Golf Channel, and college sports channels like the SEC, Big Ten, and ACC networks. If you want to take your sports to the next level, YouTubeTV offers a Sports Plus add-on for an extra $10.99 per month. The channels include NFL RedZone, FanDuel TV, Fox Soccer Plus, and more.

I switched to YouTube TV 2 years ago and have been happy with it. When I made the switch, T Mobile customers got the first year half price. Not sure if that's still available or if you're a T Mobile customer, but if you are check into it.

I switched to youtubetv about 6 months ago. Best decision I ever made. Golf channel and SEC network are included. No problem.

One of the features I like the best is the ability to order the channels on the guide to my preferences. I put the channels in watch most at the top. The channels I never watch at the end. The rest in between

One thing to check on before you cut the cord is if you have unlimited internet or if you have monthly data caps. Streaming can start eating up a decent amount of your monthly allotment, and if you get charged for data overages, that might offset any savings you have switching from cable/satellite.

If that is not an issue, I've been relatively pleased with YoutubeTV. Service is good--I've had it for probably 5 or so years now. When I started it was relatively bare bones--local stations, ESPNs, and a few other networks. Since then they have added stations and of course increased the monthly costs.

YouTubeTV has been very good. Switched a couple of years ago and canceled cable.
