Need some help from the Nerdery.

Purchased a new computer for a family member today.

At one point during the initial setup it prompted her to input her Microsoft credentials, which she did.

When it came time to activate Windows 11, however, it wouldn't do it because it said "We can't activate Windows on this device because you don't have a valid digital license or product key."

This is a brand new computer that we literally just unboxed an hour ago.

Help?

Return the pc for a replacement or reach out to manufacturer for new key.

If you bought the computer locally return it for another one.

If it was a custom order reach out to where you got it from or get another laptop and jump in Microsoft's tech support page.

I had an upgrade issue a long time ago with my desktop. I called Microsoft tech support and they got me through it. It was a little easier with my laptop in front of me because they would email some instructions.

Good luck
