they actually approved the claim. I think it was obvious that I had no way of knowing that the package had been tampered with when I signed for it. Who flips over a package and looks at the tape when it's delivered? No one!

Lately I have had a run of cases of wine being damaged by ups. Starting to think the driver or someone is taking some of it and breaking one on purpose.

Wow. That's bull***** Hopefully the winery is covering replacements.

Yeah, someone is paying for the replacement. They aren't even showing up, I just get a notice they were damaged. Has happened three times.

That sucks, I used to be part of a wine club and never had any issues. Once they arrived HOT, like they'd been sitting in direct sunlight for a long time and I called the winery and they replaced the whole case for free; even letting me keep and drink the first case with an agreement that I wouldn't say "oh it's horrible wine" on social media.

They do that when they're running behind on time and in danger of missing their delivery quoata. Happened to me several times...working at home sitting 10' from my front door all day long. "Delivery attempted" my ass.

Yep, that's standard for Fedex. I get that almost every time something is sent through them, and often I am sitting right inside. Once or twice I was even sitting outside, in direct view of the driveway and walkway to the front, when they claimed they made the attempt on the tracking. I despise Fedex and actually get pissed when something I ordered is sent through them. Amazons delivery drivers are horrible in a lot of ways, but no-one holds a candle to Fedex. Just a garbage company.

This happens to 95% of my packages where I live. They are nearly constantly 5 days late and I've gotten to the ooont where if I get the first error, I just change the drop location to be the FedEx at Walgreens 7 miles away.

I loathe FedEx. I'll pay extra for companies to use UPS. my UPS guy will f-ing call me and tell me he has a package for me and it's at my gate or it's too heavy or whatever. Dude calls me on my cell. Super cool dude. FedEx blows.

I have had that with ups. Old apartment the driver said the gate was locked. Three times. The gate was open the entire time I lived there (5 years).

In the last 2 years I've had 3 packages overnighted via ups. All three were marked as out for delivery but a phone call at 7pm to check showed all 3 sitting on the warehouse floor. First one took 2 extra days and a threat of charging them for my time before they finally tried to deliver. Second one wasn't loaded on the truck for the second day and a 5pm call caught the driver before he left for the day and he had to get back in his truck and finish his route (was 10pm when I got that package). Last package was sent priority delivery by 5pm. Of course still not there at 7 so another phone call. 8pm no package so elevate the situation and inform ups my next call is the shipper to inform them they are paying for services not provided. 9pm call shipper to explain situation and package finally arrives at 930. UPS calls to make sure I received the package and quickly hung up when asked why offer priority shipping if they don't follow their own rules (package had deliver by 5pm all over the freaking box).

I'm pretty sure my phone number has a do not answer message when it pops up now
