We are having a large construction project in our side yard, and I want the ability to pull up an app and see the live feed. Have AC plugs in the area but no Ethernet. The WiFi access point is in the garage roughly 50' away.

What do yall recommend?

No experience but I've heard good things about this one, a REOlink. Buy a Verizon or ATT SIM card, whichever works in your area. Solar panel included. Live stream coverage.

Reolink Argus PT from Amazon is what I use. Two of them. No sim card for WIFI but do have a 128 GB micro SD for recording that has never been filled up in over a year. Set using the app. I have been very happy with them and have their doorbell as well. Daytime pic. Kasa also has one that I don't find as versatile.

I use Arlo and it's a swappable battery and works on WiFi. Been mostly happy with the product

How did you get a SIM card and is there a monthly fee?

$400 for camera, sim card and 5 years of unlimited service.

I bought this camera setup about a year ago for $250 and an eiotclub sim. It has worked great the entire time. The solar panel has kept it topped off with no issues. I caught an old lady from down the street trying to steal random stuff off out of the carport one Saturday morning. The only issue I had was one time the app updated and it turned off push notifications without me knowing. I wish I had the above deal available to me at the time of purchase.

I went with a trail cam package and it's been plenty of data and costs around $6 a month for service but I don't have much traffic at that location.

Edit
It may be better to buy the cam and sim card separate just noticed the review about the cam in the above deal being a refurb.

$175 for the cam with coupon right now (plus tax)

Just want to clarify that I think OP just needed a wifi capable camera. All the talk about sim cards and service plans would be better suited for remote monitoring at rural properties, etc. You don't need a sim for wifi.
