If anyone is looking for cheap, reliable wireless I would highly recommend Visible. I just switched from T mobile (after 7 years) and have been very happy. They are running a cyber Monday special (goes live on 11/27) that gives you their premium plan (Visible Plus) for $35 per line all in. The only drawback is their customer service is chat only, but so far the only time I've used them I got the help I needed without issue.

I have that same plan with Visible and love it. I've noticed that Verizon has upgraded the Tower Point area with 5G UW. I get over 400mb downloads. It's hard to go wrong.

what are the drawbacks on a service like this? That you are not priority when stacked against other verizon customers? Has anyone ever experienced this issue? With wifi so abundantly available these days, I can't see this as a huge drawback.

I'm seriously looking at switching to Mint Mobile from AT&T. Their unlimited plan is $30/mo if you buy a year at a time... Mint uses the T-Mobile network. I have friends on it that are happy. I like the Visible idea of including taxes and fees in their prices.

Any other comparisons done?

That's pretty much it. If actual Verizon customers start eating up bandwidth, you will get shuffled to the back of the line. How often that happens is entirely dependent on your situation.

My kids have Mint Mobile, and they are perfectly happy with it. They are on wifi enough that it didn't actually make sense for them to go unlimited, so you might check your actual usage first.

Just switched from mint to visible. Before that was on another pre-pay that used Verizon towers. Mint as a company is fine but the service quality for us just wasn't as good as using Verizon towers.

Only drawback to visible so far is there are no family plans so each line has to have its own email. Makes it a little more cumbersome.

The basic plan ($25) is subject to prioritization, while the plus plan (normally $45 but you can get it for $35 through tomorrow) gets 50GB of prioritized data on 5g/4G LTE and unlimited priority on 5GUW. I chose the plus plan specifically for access to 5GUW and to not have to worry about prioritization.

We use Xfinity, which I assume is similar as it uses Verizon towers, but you have to have Xfinity home internet. Unlimited is $30 a line.

This... only reason I'm still on Google Fi. I need to manage 6 lines. I'm not going to use 6 email addresses...

It's really only cumbersome on initial set up but once that's done (and on autopay), there is little to no account management that is required.

Can you use the same email for various # of family members?

I switched from Mint Mobile to US Mobile to get off of T-Mobile towers. As long as you have a 5G compatible phone you will hit Verizon towers. Their regular LTE uses T-Mobile. Great customer service. Great rates. No issues so far! Here's a referral link if anyone is interested:

No. I tried using some of the gmail tricks with periods and + signs and those didn't work either for me.

ETA - not that this happens a lot but I had previously tried a trial of visible with one of my emails and was unable to use the account associated with that email when I made the switch from Mint so had to use a separate email. It's like if you create an account and stop using it, if you ever go back you may have to create a new account with a separate email. Really cumbersome account system.
