Nintendo's fiscal year ends in March, if I'm not mistaken. Curious if they'll try to get one more holiday season out of the Switch and announce the new system in a February direct.
As for this direct in June, hoping for some Metroid news! Give me an update on Prime 4, or info on a remake for Primes 2 and 3!

At this point I kinda hope they delay 4 until Switch 2 and make sure it runs the best it possibly can. Might as well after 7 years...
I do think we get news for MP 2-3 Remastered. In fact I'd bet on another shadow drop for 2.

This close to a new hardware announcement, I cannot imagine they would release MP4 at the tail end of the current hardware. 99.9% chance they are making it a launch title for Switch 2.

If so, pretty happy with it. Nintendo has a great design on their hands with the Switch, that really only needed incremental changes at most. Glad they're not throwing it out like they would usually do.
And specs wise, it's almost a 2 generation jump we're getting. Basically from a Wii U to better than a PS4 Pro.

They need to add old Pokmon games to switch.

Your post implied that's what you thought; I inferred. And because Bloodborne was a Playstation exclusive, I was making sure you realized none of the other games are.
The Switch was incredibly uncomfortable to use as a handheld after awhile of holding it. It does not look like they have improved the design.
I never found it uncomfortable personally, but I really only ever used it handheld in flights for about 2 hours max.
My biggest issue was the terrible kickstand, and it looks like they are using the new one from the OLED model, which is great.
I think the biggest thing they absolutely need to do here to guarantee success, even beyond a killer app at launch, is ensuring full backwards compatibility with the Switch, and allowing accounts to fully transfer to the new Switch. (Meaning all downloads, saves, etc)

Nintendo will never properly support their old library in a way that is convenient or even fair to the consumer. Emulation is 100% the way to go.
Odin 2 with emudeck/emulation station is the way. I personally use a Steamdeck for the same purpose, but there are cheaper devices if you are only using it for emulation.
It requires time/effort to set it all up, but youtube is your friend.
Easily resolved with an addon to give you a better grip. I won't play in handheld mode without it.

Definitely. I've been waiting for it for years, but at this point I'd rather wait if it means we can get it for Switch 2, hopefully running at 60fps.
Lots of "unconfirmed reports" that we're getting an official announcement tomorrow. If so, look for that Direct to be announced on X at some point today.

I will be surprised if the Switch 2 announcement rumors are true since Nintendo is releasing a Switch game tomorrow (Donkey Kong Country Returns HD).
I doubt it. We haven't hit the 30 day return date yet if you bought a Switch for the holidays.

Was just coming to post that, new Mario kart isn't a surprise. I wonder, does that mean it's coming out at the beginning of April, or was that date for Nintendo direct?
Excellent. Might have to pick up a Switch of the FB marketplace for cheap when this comes out. Been wanting to get one for overseas flights and travel.

I actually thought it was pretty clever. You know how these teaser things go... the company wants to build hype while saying as little as possible and the nerds want to know everything.
With that video, Nintendo didn't say a word, but the entire visual of the flybys basically showed everything. I'm not a Nintendo guy nor do I own a switch, but I already know a lot about the Switch 2 after one view of that video.
