If you haven't played Breath of the Wild, that should be the very first thing you play. It will either be a game you hate (very few people) or it will be one of the greatest games you've ever played (the vast majority of players).
I'm currently still working through Tears of the Kingdom. It is infinitely better on the Switch2. The 4K at 60fps is the only way to play this game. I get why some think TotK is the superior game, but all the small details that make BotW a perfect game to me are missing in TotK.
With BotW, I loved logging in and not really having a specific goal. I just pick a direction and start walking. The fun is the adventures I have along the way, discovering things as I go. With TotK, they literally stuffed 3x the content into the same sized game, adding the sky and depths. Now, when I log in, I look around and see 20 points of interest I need to mark and go explore. I will never get to them all in one sitting.
It still doesn't fall into the trap of Ubisoft open world games, but it does not have the exact same charm as BotW. Still a peak game worth playing, but BotW is just perfect, imo.
