I have the Ultra with the Trail band. It is OK but somewhat uncomfortable after several hours outdoors. I'm thinking of getting the Ocean band but wanted to see what the opinions of others are on the comfort and secure hold (i.e. won't come off the wrist) of this band. The second part may sound weird but the attachment part looks different than anything I've seen. The trail band has the velcro and is completely secure. I do a lot of running/walking with this and don't want to be thinking about something else only to realize the thing came out.

I'm guessing that won't be a problem, but just want to make sure. The other thing is I know there are knock-off bands out there, but quality wise, they are hit and miss. Things like skin irritations (mine is very sensitive), ability to hold up, etc.

TIA
Claude!

No experience with the ocean loop. I have the braided solo loop; it's slip on, but i've never had any issues with it.

I've also got an Ultra and have all 3 of the original bands. I like the trail loop best for comfort followed by the alpine loop. The ocean band is nice and I wear it to work out but prefer the softer fabric bands. The ocean band is completely secure with the extra piece that locks the excess strap into place.

The original sport loop from Apple is also really comfortable and half the price of the overpriced Ultra bands.

I have the ultra and have just moved to grabbing bands of Amazon. A lot cheaper than any of the ultra bands.

I really like the Nike Sport Band, though recently picked up one of these and for 40 bucks less it's pretty solid. Lots of color options too.

No kidding...$100 for a watch band is just dumb.

I bought the Ocean band, tried it on, and its going back. Don't like it. I might try some of the recommendations here.

Ocean band is terrible. I've been hunting a new band since I bought the Ultra and am yet to find one.

The ocean band is good if you are in a lake, river or ocean often. I lost a watch wakeboarding with the nike band...forgot to take it off so having the ocean is nice for peace of mind. Ocean is also good if you workout or sweat a lot but its not the most comfortable. I like the alpine loop for comfort but its annoying as it does not dry fast.

Have an ultra with the alpine band and have had zero issues. Use it for swimming laps multiple times a week, hit training, boxing. Has never come loose and zero regrets picking the alpine band.
