I have about 5 email addresses I use, and currently they are all set up in my Apple Mail client/app across all my macs and devices so they sync easily. But I'm not sure the Apple Mail has all the features as other platforms.

What are you guys using and what do you like about it?

Secondly, is anyone using the new email client Superhuman? I know it's $30/month and has a waiting list of 450,000 users, so I'd need an invitation from someone already using it if I went that route.

Pine...The Model T of email clients.

I have Mailbird that provides a nice interface. I have 4 gmail accounts linked to it, 1 for primary business, 1 for personal, 2 for rarely used business entities. Works great for me.

I paid for the upgraded version but do not recall the costs. Give them a look.

If Outlook isn't an option, and you're looking for a free alternative with a few more features than Pine, Thunderbird is ok.

Pine is to modern, need eudora or elm. Actually I used to use these but been using thunderbird for nearly 20 years now. Hear new modern version coming in May, may have to revert to something more trailing edge.
Use fairmail (or k9) on android. Basically anything but outlook.

I have been using Thunderbird since Mozilla Mail. Always been pretty happy with it.

Appreciate all the replies. I'll check out all the suggestions. I do prefer modern and dark mode if possible.

Do any of those send a notification/reminder to me if someone doesn't reply to my email by a certain date?

Also am I able to see when someone reads my email?

You can covert emails to tasks in thunderbird, and there are several plugins that also do this
You can do read requests with most any email client, but thunderbird also tells you that a sender has requested it and you can tell it to ignore the request. Now if it just had a way to convey the fact that i will set the priority of their task to lowest - 1 because they did it, but that feature has not been implemented.

For the email addresses, where are they hosted? Gmail, yahoo, etc..

Looks like it was announced 3 days ago that Thunderbird is getting a complete redesign from the ground up this summer.

I use proton due to bundle pricing on their vpn.

That is astronomically high. There is no way they have features that warrant a 3x premium over MS 360 which gets you a full office suite of programs including Outlook (as one example).

What in the world?!

Im confused are we talking about email clients or email providers? Superhuman looks like an email provider.
