How long do you want to ignore this user?
We're about to downsize, plus I'm hanging it up after ~20 years of racing.

So we have a lot of tools, car parts, etc., I need to get rid of.

Wondering, what is the best method or route for posting pics?

(sorry, I'm an old, so some of this new-fangled interwebby stuff confuses me )

Thanks all

You can use the image button when you post, but many times they get flagged or don't work. The most reliable method is to upload photos to imgur.com, then instead of grabbing the link they provide for sharing (click the x and don't use that link) right click the photo and display the photo in a new tab, then grab that link and post it. Sometimes you have to add .jpg after the link to make it work if it doesn't work the first time. PM me if you have trouble and will try to help.

Am I to understand that you can take apart and rebuild a high performance engine but can not post a picture on the internet?

Lol, just kidding...easiest way is to pay the $1 Premium trial subscription and then you can just select pictures from your photos on your phone and post it right into the thread.

There are free more complicated ways, but I get the sense that's not what your looking for.

Thanks for the replies

I was thinking along the lines of the imgur route but may just go what seems to be the easiest route and pay the buck a month.

Goes to a good cause, right? (half-way kidding)

Bronco6G, yep. Kind of sad uh LoL

For all the other olds that are image posting challenged. I asked for TexAgs admin help awhile back so I'd have a written reference saved in email. Here ya go.

"To post a picture in our forums, you must first upload the picture to the internet. You can use any number of services available today, including Dropbox, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Photos, Instagram and many others. This tutorial will show you have to upload a photo using the Imgur.com service.

Note: "rookies" can only post links to photos

To better manage your photos over time, it is recommended you create a Imgur account, but you can follow these instructions without creating one. (NOTE: if you do not create an account, you will not be able to remove the photo after you leave the page).

STEP 1: Go to http://imgur.com and click on New post in the upper left corner.

STEP 2: Select Browse OR drag images to the window.

STEP 3: Choose the image on your computer that you want to upload, then click Open.

STEP 4: Once your post is created, hover your mouse over the image, click on the arrow in the upper right corner of the photo and then click Get share links.

STEP 5: Look for the "BBCode (Forums)" box and click Copy.

STEP 6: In your TexAgs post, right click on your post text box and then click Paste, OR press CTRL+V on your keyboard.

STEP 7: Once you've pasted, the image will automatically appear in your post editor (NOTE: image will appear larger once posted)."

This is so much easier mobile on your phone. To post pictures, go to the Imgur app. Hold a picture that you uploaded down with your finger. Select Copy Post Link.

In TexAgs mobile, paste it in a post. Bam! The picture appears.

Tried the Imgur route, tried jpg, jpeg, and png files. Imgur wouldn't accept any of them.

So eF it, will do the TexAgs subscription. Buy a couple less cups of coffee each month and break even.

Anyway, thanks for the instructions/guide guys. I might try it again one day.

ezmoney, penit02, it's going to be a wide array of specialized items, tools, equipment, household items, ... From a 500HP SB 350 to working Saginaw transmission and spare cases, to caster/camber tools, valve height tools, valve spring rate tester, porta-power, 12-ton press, grooving iron, siping iron, bead-breaker, jack stands, floor jacks, shocks of various compression/rebound rates, springs of various diameters/lengths/rates (all tested on spring machine), weight distribution assembly, open trailer with large box with spare tire rack and nitrogen bottle on the front, Hans, ...

You get the idea. One squirrels away a lot of stuff over the years.

Some stuff won't be posted here, probably not the right audience. But hey, you never know, right? Heck, I'm on TexAgs every day

I'd be interested in the floor jacks and stands. I know it's a lot to move but ever thought of some swap meets?

Also, where you located?

What kind of link are you referring to? What or how do I post something so it triggers an alert?

I've tried the swap meet route a time or two in the past, wasn't worth it. But we'll see.

So much of this stuff, I hate to see it go to waste just to be sold to a metal recycling shop. So maybe if the timing is right, I may try one again.

when you post something, just go to the address bar of your browser and right-click and copy the link, then come back to this thread and paste it in a reply post here. We will all cheer you on and I'm sure buy a lot of stuff.

You almost have it. Please use your iPhone to open TexAgs. Click on the links you just posted. Up will come the IBB site where you posted your pics. Now hold down the picture with your finger. Select Open image in new tab. Now copy the image URL. It ends with .jpg

See below: ( I added a space so you can see it.)

https://i.ibb.co/zFbJVPV/Reese-Assembly-3 .jpg

In mobile, all you do is paste the URL ending in .jpg or .gif or .png" /> in you post.

And Bam! The picture appears like so when you post it.
